Just Before the Blast

A Tribute to Chicago Address 

11 September 1893

Behold, the river is drifting to adjoin the sea,

                the brilliant sky is shining to utter thee;

                the storm is waiting to lit the light,

                a voice is preaching — “Help and not Fight”;

Listen, birds are chirping, creating a symphony,

              can you hear the tender words of harmony?

              the saffron shade is radiating his Master’s mission,

              a sense of oneness echoes — “Assimilation and not Destruction”;

Realize, a single thought is uniting the world,

               as if, the chord between thy and self is becoming unfirled;

               neither cries nor miseries can make the tricolor cease,

               the absolute truth will awaken thousands of hearts 

               to spread the hymn of — "Harmony and Peace".
